Wisconsin Green Fire Supports Knowles-Nelson Re-authorization

Prominent conservation org publicly endorses Stewardship Program.

Wisconsin Green Fire, a prominent conservation organization, today publicly endorsed a re-authorization of the Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Program and called for an increase in funding for the program to meet new conservation challenges such as climate change mitigation, flood safety, and water pollution.

A renewed Stewardship Program will help communities by mitigating the risk of climate change impacts from severe storms that threaten public safety and property, and the need to protect water quality from non-point source contaminants that threaten public health.
