Rep. McGuire: Kenosha’s Horizon Park receives $400,000 grant

Knowles-Nelson grant survives Joint Finance review process.

The Horizon Park in the City of Kenosha has received a $400,000 grant from the Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Program after approval from the state’s Joint Finance Committee.

Representative Tip McGuire made the following comment to WisPolitics about the grant approval.

“I am thankful to my colleagues on the Joint Committee on Finance for their approval of this grant proposal. Horizon Park is one of the many wonderful outdoor spaces in the 64th Assembly District, and these funds will help beautify the area even further.”

The Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Program helps fund projects ranging from land conservation to park improvements for the enjoyment of current and future residents.
