Manitowoc has begun installing a new bridge over the Little Manitowoc River, with asphalt trail work to follow this spring, reports Seehafer News. The project received a $369,400 grant from the Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Program and $100,000 from the West Foundation, with remaining funding coming from a TIF District.
When completed this spring, the trail will connect Mariners Trail to Lincoln Park Zoo and include lighting and a new kayak launch.
