County receives more grant money for park building

Knowles-Nelson funds will be used for a multipurpose maintenance facility in Ozaukee County.

The Ozaukee Press reported an increased budget for constructing a multipurpose maintenance facility in Ozaukee County’s Hawthorne Hills Park. An additional $37,050 was approved, raising the total project cost to $374,100.

The Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Program will contribute 50 percent of the project’s expenses, amounting to $187,050, while the county will cover the remaining costs utilizing its capital improvement fund.
